Two Michelin-star chef Patrick Jeffroy illuminates the French gastronomic scene from his birthplace of Brittany, specifically from Carantec. With a focus on the culinary art for his seafood platters, he preserves the flavors of his Brittany youth, which he reinterprets through his inspirations and travels. For Jeffroy, Carantec has been his personal stage for more than a decade, and in the year 2000, he discovered his love for the view from the Hôtel de la Falaise, a historic building from the 1930s in Carantec. Rechristened L’Hôtel de Carantec, the building is rejuvenated with a sleek style to elevate the sea view. Thus began the “Carantécoise” adventure 17 years ago.

Patrick Jeffroy embodies the noble values of Brittany: a passion for the ocean, adventure and discovery, and a deep love for his homeland and its robust traditions. Jeffroy is a pioneer in preparing fish on a polished pebble, an idea he drew directly from Claude Lévi-Strauss’ book ‘Le cru et le cuit’. Jeffroy enjoys blending these powerful flavors and never fails to amaze.
